What started out in 1997 as a dream to reach out to the unchurched population of Greater Springfield, Missouri has been a story of faith. Through an innovative approach involving the use of contemporary music, practical and Biblical messages and a determined intentionality to develop genuine relationships, Living Waters is seeing the dream unfold daily.
Living Waters adheres to a unique philosophy of ministry. On weekends, high-energy contemporary music, practical messages, and PowerPoint presentations (and eventually drama) are used to present the timeless truths of Scripture at an introductory level easily understood by non-churched people. A growing network of small groups, are designed for those who wish to develop their relationship with Christ and with others through more in-depth Bible teaching and personal interaction.
Living Waters has moved three times since its inception and continues to develop and grow at a steady rate. More important than the numerical growth of this new church start is the fulfillment of the founding dream, with over 70% coming from those who were previously unchurched or nominal attenders.
